“Texas Metal” Star Bill Carlton Has Not Been Arrested Recently, Though He Was Arrested Twice Previously

Bill’s Legal History and Arrests

Key Takeaways

  • As of February 2025, Bill Carlton is not facing any ongoing legal challenges and is focusing on his show and career.
  • A YouTube video revealed that authorities arrested him in 2019 after an alleged domestic violence incident with his wife, Jennifer Carlton.
  • Additionally, a TikTok video from 2022 suggested that authorities arrested Bill for assault involving a family member.

Bill Carlton, the owner of Ekstensive Metal Works and star of the reality TV show Texas Metal, has not been arrested as of February 2025.

He is currently not facing any legal challenges, focusing on his show and continuing to build his reputation in the custom car industry.

He is not in jail and actively participates in his projects without any further incidents.

Previously, he had faced serious legal issues.

A YouTube video released in November 2024 stated that Bill Carlton was arrested in 2019 after an alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife, Jennifer Carlton.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call about a disturbance, where Jennifer claimed Bill attacked her inside their home.

She reported that Bill’s drinking worsened after “Texas Metal” began airing and described how he became violent when she parked in the wrong spot at church.

The altercation escalated with Bill throwing items, striking Jennifer in the face, and preventing her from leaving the closet until he finally allowed her to go.

He also told her that if she told anyone about the incident, he would accuse her of hitting him. Bill then hit himself twice, presumably to make his story of being hit by her seem more believable.

Bill had a warrant for his arrest issued on July 29, 2019, and on August 13, 2019, he turned himself into the police, where he immediately paid his $1,000 bond and waited for his trial.

After he turned himself in, the authorities charged Bill, and they later sentenced him to community service and a batterer’s intervention program.

During his trial, the district attorney noted that Bill had a previous criminal history, including reckless driving, assault family violence, unlawful carry of a weapon on alcohol premises, and third-degree battery.

Despite this, he continued to break the law with multiple speeding violations in September 2020, just after his domestic violence case closed.

He was caught speeding over 10% of the posted speed limit and then caught again doing the same thing three weeks later.

Police caught him once more in Harris County speeding over 10% of the posted speed, but this time without a license plate on his vehicle.

On March 23, 2023, Bill was speeding again, failed to signal a lane change, and yet again had no license plate on his vehicle.

These events raised serious concerns about the pressures of fame and the private struggles Bill faced.

As per a TikTok video, it was claimed that Bill was arrested in 2022 in Montgomery County, Texas, related to a family member assault charge.

A YouTube video further claimed that Bill’s arrest in October 2022 was for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, following a previous conviction for family violence.

This shocking incident has raised concerns about his personal life and the reputation of the show.

Court documents show that they set his bail at $20,000, and they released him shortly after, though details about the incident remain limited.

Despite these revelations, the show’s popularity continues to soar, with “Texas Metal” boasting seven successful seasons and no signs of cancellation, although some fans are now questioning the future of the show and its main star.

It remains unclear how his legal challenges will impact Bill’s future in the automotive world.
