Deshawn Leeth, born on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, on May 1, 1994, was the youngest of five children.
He is survived by his four sisters, Angela, Yolanda, Resa, and Andria and the whole family.
The late Deshawn Leeth Founded Under Dawg Nation In 2021
The late Michigan native Deshawn Leeth started his nonprofit organization Under Dawg Nation in late August 2021 to keep kids out of the juvenile system and help prevent teen violence.
Moreover, his commitment to supporting young people stemmed from his experiences with the juvenile justice system and his struggles with leading a life of crime.
At just 11, Leeth began stealing food and other items to help feed his family during challenging times, as his mother, Denise Leeth, struggled with substance addiction and his father passed away in an accident.
In an interview, the late Deshawn Leeth stated that his first interaction with the criminal justice system was when he was 11, after stealing a bike at Kmart.
Furthermore, he went to Wastenaw County Juvenile Center at 11, and at age 18 in 2012, he received a prison sentence after years of living a criminal lifestyle on the streets.
Following his release from the Michigan Department of Corrections on January 5, 2021, at the age of 27, the late Deshawn began dedicating his efforts to helping youth and established his non-profit organization.
Until his last breath, he dedicated his life to helping teens stay away from violence.
His dedication and contribution to the community will always remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones.
