Furthermore, the court scheduled a Rule 8.1 hearing for Monday, April 28, 2025, at 7:45 a.m. in Elm Springs District Court.

Makhel Mitchell Began His Basektball Journey At The Age Of Nine

Former NCAA star Makhel Mitchell started playing basketball at the age of nine and has played competitive basketball at a high level ever since.

While attending high school, Makhel Mitchell showcased his amazing basketball skills by playing a national schedule with Montverde Academy in 2017-18 and for DC Premier on the AAU circuit.

Furthermore, he won the International Youth Basketball Spectacular with Montverde Academy.

Due to his exceptional basketball skills, ESPN rated him as a 4-star recruit through Rivals during high school.

Continuing his basketball career, Makhel Mitchell appeared in 10 games in one season, 2019-20, with the Maryland Terrapins, before joining Rhode Island’s men’s basketball team, the Rams, in 2020.

While playing for the Rhode Island Rams, Makhel Mitchell started 23 of the 25 games in his sophomore season and made his first career start, scoring 11 points and four blocks against South Florida.

Similarly, during his junior season at Rhode Island, Mitchell recorded his fourth career double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks at VCU and had a season-high 20 points.
