Initially of Kurdish descent, Sidem was born in Turkey and migrated to the UK very young.
Studying Psychology along with Sociology and Philosophy, Ozturk left her life in London, quitting her job and moving to Jamaica in 2019.
Sidem wanted to explore her romantic relationship with Kartel on a deeper level after corresponding with him since 2015.
Besides the difficulties faced, Ozkurt believed love would eventually win and didn’t want a ring for the “engagement.”
