Celebrity Horse Peptoboonsmal Meets A Tragic End At 32

He will always be remembered dearly!

Peptoboonsmal had once been a ranch sensation starting his life at the Fort Worth for his NCHA Futurity debut. His demise at the age of 32 has broken the hearts of many who knew him.

Key Takeaways

  • Peptoboonsmal was a horse from the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Open Futurity Champion.
  • His passing was announced on the official Facebook page of Aaron Ranch.
  • The horse had reportedly been acting differently from his usual self a little while before passing.

Peptoboonsmal has been known by the ranch members as one of the most humble and amazing horses in the ranch.

His name comprises three other names: Peppy San Badger, Royal Blue Boon, and Boon Bar.

The stallion was born in March, 1992 at the Larry and Elaine Hall’s ranch in Weatherford, Texas. That was when a tough decision was made.

This ranch had to register him. Further, we were the son of Royal Blue Boon.

Pepto eventually became the first stallion who was campaigned by the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).

He made his debut at the Fort Worth for his NCHA Futurity in 1995. Ever since, he has been loved by every ranch that he has entered.

Along with Peptoboonsmal, another stallion, Bellenfant made the NCHA Super Stakes Derby Open Finals and even won the South Point Winter Championship Derby Open and the Bonanza Cutting Derby Open.

Pepto was later sold to Jackson Land and Cattle LLC. In 2014, again, he was sold to Aaron Ranch. The latter was where he breathed his last breath.

Peptoboonsmal Passes Away In 2024

Cresha Aaron’s mother grew immediately fond of him when Pepto was brought to the Aaron Ranch. He spent an entire decade in the ranch and was cherished by everyone there.

Aaron said,

“She wanted to go see him because we were breeding so much to him and she just fell in love with him,” Aaron explained. “She got hurt on a horse when I was a little girl, so she loves horses but she does not just go in with all of them. So I think she felt comfortable with him and wanted to bring him here.”

The ranch owners had brought nutritionists and a few other such experts to take care of Pepto’s diet and his health.

Furthermore, he was best known for loving life on the ranch.

The ranch owners also mentioned that he got tested a little before he passed away. The cause of his passing is likely to be his age as the test results were all normal.

Pepto loved peppermint but even his teeth had gotten weak with time. So, this all worked as a proof of the horse having gotten older.

Due to complications within the horse, he succumbed to it on October 22, 2024 by Cresha Aaron by his side and is now buried on the Aaron Ranch in Commerece, Texas. The family has even set a memorial for him there.

While he has left the ranch, his children are doing better than ever and carrying his legacy.

We wish the ranch owners and everyone who loved Peptoboonsmal the courage and strength to endure their grief.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Peptoboonsmal had sired the owners over $28 Million.
  • He had a quirky and funny personality.
  • Pepto was 22 years old when he first came to the Aaron Ranch.
