Crowd Strike’s Chief Sales Officer Brett Shirk Leaves Everyone Mourning After Tragedy

He will be missed by everyone who knew him!

Brett Shirk was truly an amazing mentor, leader, and, most of all, a very good human being. He will truly be missed by all!

Key Takeaways

  • Brett Shirk was the Chief Sales Offer at Crowd Strike.
  • Shirk was known for his warmth and friendly air.
  • An employee from Crowd Strike confirmed his demise.

Whenever a good person leaves the world, he leaves his legacy and stories of kindness behind, so is the case of Brett Shirk.

Always known for his warm smile and a big belief in good leadership, he impacted the lives of many people in the most positive way possible.

Shirk has been the Chief Sales Officer at Crowd Strike since last year. In that time, he played a big role in being a good leader and influencing everyone who worked for and with him.

It was shocking when an employee from Crowd Strike and a wellwisher of late Brett posted a picture of him with her along with a heartbreaking caption.

The caption announced his demise subtly. It read,

. . . It’s always difficult to sum up the level of impact another human has had on those around them in written words – this one is no different.
Though most of us at CrowdStrike were only fortunate to know Brett (Brett Shirk) for the past year – he inspired, empowered, and became a true friend to a lot of us. He was a leader that lived in servant leadership. He knew how to get “the job done”, but stayed acutely interested and aware of those around him and the impact his decisions could have. He knew if he encouraged and supported the professionals around him they would shine brightly. Always a kind smile around the office, with a warm handshake or hug – he ensured people felt valued. He genuinely listened to ideas, concerns, and dreams … and he dreamed for us (CrowdStrike) as well.

The post further added,

He was a positive force in my professional life this past year. He advocated for me, believed in my skills, and made time to have meaningful career and strategy conversations with me. He reminded me how critical discipline in life is. Even the “smaller details” of how much sleep you get, knowing when to step away, exercise, and allowing your actions to speak for you. He even reminded me to “mute the volume of detractors/critics” and remain disciplined in my goals.
I am sincerely grateful for knowing Brett this past year, and as the news of his passing makes its way across the industry, I hope his family can find some comfort in the memories we share in his honor.

From all that the post converts, it is clear that Shirk was, in fact, the light in every room he went to. His long experience as a leader made him the best one out there.

Further, his work and company have been enjoyed and acknowledged by professionals in the several fields he has worked in since 1995.

In his initial career, he started as the Regional Sales Manager at BMC Software, and he had come far from where he started.

Brett had also worked for a few other companies before Crowd Strike, including Symantec, Veritas Technologies LLC, VMware, Rubrik, Inc., and Fastly.

Brett Shirk Leaves Behind Legacy

After the official confirmation of his passing, there had not been many who were loud about his passing.

When you look back over the recent few years, Shirk was involved in several activities, and he was doubtlessly very influential on those around him.

The reason that not many are yet posting about his demise may be out of respect for his family. Hence, keeping their privacy safe is also best for his family’s well-wishers.

One of his colleagues’ announcements of his demise was respectful and enough to convey the person most thought him to be.

Shirk is survived by his wife, Jennifer Shirk, and their five children, two sons and three daughters.

We truly wish for his loved ones to heal through this tough time. Heartfelt condolences.

May his soul rest in peace!
