Emma Navarro, the American tennis player, has gone through a weight loss transformation, now ideally weighing 65 kg (143 lbs) with a height of 5 ft 7 in.

A rising star in tennis, she is known for her strong serve and aggressive baseline play, gaining widespread attention after securing her first WTA Tour title at the 2024 Hobart International.

Emma Navarro keeps herself fit through tennis, and she has recently lost a significant amount of weight.

Andrea Petkovic, the retired German tennis player, also mentioned this on her podcast in March 2024 while chatting with Rennae Stubbs, Serena Williams’ former coach.

On the March 18th episode of Racquet’s Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast, Petkovic noted:

This girl [Emma Navarro] can really play and now she’s gotten so fit, she’s lost 5-6 pounds of body weight.

She further discussed the importance of maintaining fitness in tennis, remarking:

It always has to be said when we talk about bodies here this a lot different than when we talk about bodies in general.

Aligning with her views, Stubbs said:

She was never overweight, she was never out of shape, but comparing her to what she used to look like which was always a good athlete, now she looks… woah.

Known for her fitness on the WTA circuit, Petkovic discussed Emma, who pointed out that the comments were not meant to body shame but to reflect on her physical transformation. She said:

When we talk about bodies in tennis we talk about it as a tool, so it’s not like bodies in general and we’re body shaming, it’s a tool. Emma, too, has resonated with similar sentiments about her fitness.

Navarro has also openly shared details about her gym workouts, highlighting her dedication to consistent training.

During an interview with USTA, the tennis star revealed details about her intense gym training. She stated:

How I spend my time on and off the court, and not wasting any time during practice or in the gym and always having a purpose is what I am doing.

Following her impressive second-round win over Osaka, Navarro defeated her fierce rival, Diana Shnaider, at Wimbledon.

Speaking post-match after her win over Shnaider, she said that her fitness is helping her handle challenging situations.

Then just the more you put yourself in those moments, you learn little cues, mental or physical cues, that can help you. I think that just comes with experience and being tuned in with how I respond to certain cues.
