Katie Nagle was an executive assistant who had been working for the Chicago Bears since 2002.

To the date of her passing, she had worked as an executive assistant for team president and CEO Ted Phillips.

Recently, she had worked in the same position under chairman George H. McCaskey.

Her dedication to the football team was full and full, and hence, she was paid tribute during the opening conference.

Nagle passed away early in the morning on Labor Day.

During the conference speech at Hallas Hall, Matt Eberflus sent his prayers on behalf of the team to her family and close ones.

“We want to recognize her. What a kind soul. Beautiful woman. And just recognize her and her family, and our condolences go out to them as she makes her transition.”

The football team fans and everyone watching the conference were evidently touched by how things took a turn in the event amidst the news of Katie’s demise.

A sister of Katie’s close friend, Sharon Langlotz-Johnson, posted a tribute for her on Monday. She mentioned,

“Katie Nagle has been a friend of my sister’s since high school at Sacred Heart of Mary. Katie had always been one of the sweetest people I will ever know. Five years my senior, Katie was always tolerant, and very kind to her friends “little sister”. It is something I never forgot.

This morning she lost her battle of a rare condition. She suffered from a drug she was taking for post treatment of breast cancer. She was just a beautiful soul and will be missed by so many.”

Moreover, the late executive assistant also secured the Virginia McCaskey Award in 2015.

The Virginia McCaskey Award is given to employees who are as graceful, humble, loyal, and dedicated as Mrs. McCaskey.

This award is usually given only to a winner who is distinguished from their colleagues in performance and behavior.

Likewise, in 2023, Nagel had also been an Adultitis Fighter of the Month.

An Adultitis Fighter is someone who is brave enough to rally against practices that are not suitable for adults and are ruthless and cruel.

Katie was gifted with a certificate of honor, a sweet patch, other Adultitis-Fighting tools, and a limited-edition print.

The delighted fighter shared how she loves bicycling to freshen up her mind simultaneously.

She also mentioned feeling lucky to have a big, happy, and supportive family by her side.

In fact, Nagle gave credit to her mom and dad for having the most influence in her decision to fight against Adulititis.

She was a big believer in kind words and positivity. These were some ways she kept herself going about happily in her life and avoided the mundanity of adulthood.

Besides, Katie was known for taking any challenge with a big smile, making her one of the most loved employees in Chicago Bears and a likable human in general.

We send our deepest condolences to Katie Nagle’s family and loved ones.
