Community Farewell On Social Media For Julian Snyder

Several communities bid Julian farewell on Facebook.

He was an amazing kid and got the cherishing that he always deserved in each post.

His coach and educator, Chris Honer wrote,

The best and the worst thing about being Coach Horner are the relationships I get to make with kids. On one hand, it’s amazing being an adult that kids can go to for advice or a pick me up. Those are the best things. On the other hand, occasionally you run into one of those kids and you get so invested in them as a person, that you begin to look at them as one of your own. That’s what happened with Julian Snyder. HE WAS MY GUY! I absolutely adored this kid. He was always in a good mood. He was always laughing and joking around. He was the guy that was always picking people up. He was the guy that if you ever heard someone say that they didn’t like Julian Snyder, your first thought would be, what’s wrong with you as a person? Because, Julian was the best! He was the absolute best. For the last two years, everyday at lunchtime, you could find Julian and his varsity buddies hanging out in my classroom with younger underclassmen and they’d all be joking around with one another. It didn’t matter what grade you were in or what social status you had, Julian was kind and inclusive with everyone around him. I admired him for that and as an educator it was really cool to watch.

He added,

Last night, Julian tragically passed away in a car accident. He was not just a player, he was my friend and I am going to miss him terribly. Even though this is one of the worst things about being a coach / educator, I wouldn’t change a thing. I cherish the time I got to spend with Julian Snyder and feel blessed that I had the opportunity to cross paths with him. Rest in peace Julian. I love you bud!

He was a good kid… just a few months ago when we needed some help setting up tables and chairs for the Treat Our Teachers event he and his brother showed up to help. He was friendly and kind every time I saw him. What a great kid.
I can’t even imagine the pain his family is feeling right now. Their lives have been changed forever. Please send them all the good thoughts or prayers.
They are also accepting donations as we can all imagine the needs they’ll have in the coming days and weeks and months.
