For almost two years, the parents of the late Louis Johnson, his mother, Tyka Johnson, and father, Louis Johnson Jr, have been tirelessly fighting to seek justice for their beloved son, who committed suicide amid bullying.

Furthermore, according to reports, Tyka and Louis Jr. Johnson filed a lawsuit against the Marion County School Board, alleging that one of Louis’s teachers, “relentlessly publicly bullied and humiliated him, calling him ‘stupid.”

His parents further stated that the teacher and alleged bully, Donna Marie White, encouraged their son’s classmates to tease him for months leading up to his demise.

Moreover, they filed the lawsuit in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County on Monday, April 21, 2025, a week prior to their son Louis’s second death anniversary.

Reports also state that the alleged bully, Donna Marie White engaged in an “open, notorious, and protracted pattern of bullying by systematically and chronically inflicting hurt/ or psychological distress on Louis Johnson, III, including but not limited to, unwanted and repeated verbal humiliation and insulting behavior, and encouraging other students to engage in the same behavior” against their son.

Likewise, his parents also claimed that they complained to school officials and requested the Marion County School Board to intervene, but the Legacy Elementary and Marion County School Board took no action against Ms. White.
