He served as a Sergeant in the Town of Elsmere starting in March 2005, dedicating over 20 years to the department.

Before that, he worked as a corporal in 2004, continuing his service for over two decades.

He was also a police officer at the Elsmere Police Department from March 2005 until his passing.

Greg was the nephew of Chief Laura Giles, and his family was deeply embedded in the law enforcement community.

He had a brother and a cousin in the Delaware State Police, a cousin in the Elsmere Police Department, and a cousin with the Wilmington Police and Fire Departments.

He was truly an exceptional officer who gave his all to the community, his family, and his friends.

Greg’s service will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His dedication to keeping the community safe and his kindness will never be forgotten.
