The Lock family has a rich athletic history. Andy, Drew’s father, was an offensive lineman at the University of Missouri from 1986 to 1989, and his mother, Laura, contributed to this sports tradition as a high school basketball player.

This athletic tradition continued with Drew’s grandfather, who also played football at the University of Missouri, and Drew’s cousin, Tommy Lock, who played quarterback for the Missouri Tigers.

Just like her family members before her, Claire Lock has upheld their tradition of sports excellence, particularly in basketball.

Speaking about the siblings’ relationship, their mother remarked:

He’s very empathetic. He’s been a great big brother to Claire. They don’t let on that they are close, but they really are. When Claire was a freshman at Lee’s Summit and Drew was a senior, Drew made it clear she was off limits to date.

Drew Lock’s Sister, Claire Lock, Is A Standout Basketball Player

Claire Lock, Drew’s younger sister, also became a standout athlete at Lee’s Summit High School, often questioning whether her recognition came from her basketball skills or her famous brother.

She graduated in 2018, where she was a prominent guard, surpassing 1,000 points in her basketball career.

During her junior year, she led her team to the State Tournament Semi-Finals, averaging 14.3 points per game.

Claire earned numerous accolades, including All-Conference honours each year, three-time All-District selections, and a First Team All-State accolade for the 2016-2017 season.

In her senior year, she further excelled, averaging 16 points and five rebounds per game, which led to a nomination for the McDonald’s All-American team.

Continuing her passion for basketball, she played as a freshman guard for the Kansas City Roos at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) during the 2018-2019 season.

Off the court, she pursued a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Pre-Occupational Therapy, graduating from UMKC in 2021.

Claire also obtained certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid, showcasing her dedication to healthcare.

In addition to her academic and athletic pursuits, she gained valuable experience working as a nanny and food server, and she completed an internship at the Playabilities Pediatric Therapy Clinic.

Her commitment to service is evident in her volunteer work with organizations such as Morning Glory Ministries and PAWSABILITIES, where she served as a Rehab Technician.

She is currently a second-year OTD student at Rockhurst University, aiming to obtain her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

Claire and her brother Drew share a strong, supportive relationship, where she frequently celebrates his NFL achievements, and he is equally proud of her successes in both sports and academics.

Claire once described her brother, saying:

He’s a super sensitive guy — a big softie. remember one time when he shot a bird with his BB gun while it was flying. It was a challenge, and he wanted to see if he could do it. After he hit it, he was so bummed out.
