Johnny Gaudreau started his hockey journey in the 2010-2011 season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League (USHL).
In the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Gaudreau was selected by the Calgary Flames as the 104th overall pick in the 4th round.
