Since splitting from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee, in September last year, Hugh has been single and living his best single life.
The former couple released a joint statement announcing their separation, saying their family would be their biggest priority.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. The Wolverine Dodges Awkward Dating Question
Hugh Jackman sidestepped a question about his dating life on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
During a segment where kids posed questions to him and Ryan Reynolds, 11-year-old Maya asked if they were “looking for a girlfriend.”
The two actors were promoting their Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, and started the show with a 13-minute monologue.
The final question from the 11-year-old, who noted they “both look very lonely,” left them momentarily speechless.
“Thank you for asking that… I’m married and he…” Ryan began, gesturing towards Hugh and referencing his recent marriage breakdown with Deborra-Lee Furness.
Hugh laughed it off, ducking his head, while Ryan chimed in again. “Yes!” he exclaimed. “The answer is yes, we do get lonely sometimes.”
