According to her family members and loved ones, the UGA alum Ellie Knight took her last breath on April 2nd at 11:12 am after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her friends and family.
Her elder brother Stuart Knight took to his Facebook page to announce the untimely demise of his beloved sister Ellie Knight and talk about her courageous battle with Ovarian cancer.
Stuart Knight stated that his beloved sister Ellie had an unexplained mass in her abdomen on December 10th, 2024, and on December 31st, she was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer.
He further stated that Ellie was admitted into the hospital on January 21st, 2025, and she spent 71 days fighting ferociously through chemo and many surgeries.
Moreover, Ellie Knight made it through two complete rounds of chemo, but unfortunately, her lungs and kidneys suffered irreversible damage.
“Ellie was the best of friends, a loving daughter, an amazing aunt, and the sweetest little sister I could have asked for. She will be missed dearly, and I know everyone will regret her absence from their lives and events for decades to come. Although her life was much shorter than we would’ve liked it to be, we can all rest easy knowing that she lived life to the absolute fullest and touched many lives with her kind spirit and contagious smile.Please continue to pray for all of those closest to her. The Late Ellie Knight Was An Amazing Planner and Designer
While pursuing her bachelor of arts degree at the University of Georgia, the late Ellie Knight began her career as a planner and designer.
Since January 2021, Ellie Knight was working as a planning, design, and media assistant for Whitewood Events in Athens, Georgia, until her recent demise.
Moreover, from 2018 to 2022, the late Ellie was involved in several groups and activities at the University of Georgia.
She was an active member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the Wesley Foundation, UGA Heros, Rouge Maganize, and many more.
As a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Ellie Knight served as the director of philanthropy, organizing fundraisers to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and as an assistant secretary.

Her family has organized a celebration of life for the late Ellie Knight on Friday, April 11, at 11 am at First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia.
