Jahmby Koikai, also known as Fyah Mama, was born on November 24, 1986. Koikai was born and raised in Dagoretti, Nairobi, Kenya.

Jahmby’s grandmother was suffering from stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the time. And sadly, she passed away in 2016.

Jahmby Koikai And Her Battle With Endometriosis

For more than 20 years, Jahmby battled this deadly disease, where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus.

In the case of Jahmby, her condition had gone from bad to worse over time. Her disease didn’t only affect her reproductive organs. Instead, it spread to her lungs, heart, appendix, teeth, and spine.

The talented musician went on countless painful surgeries and treatments with a smile on her face.

Jahmby tried her best to raise awareness about this issue through her social media handles.

In fact, a few days prior to her demise, she posted on Instagram to educate people about this disease.

Besides that, she was also a part of Earthzone Band, a versatile musical group. The band was famous for performing reggae music in Kenya.

They also organized concerts every now and then.
